Founded in Milan in 1993 by Franco Cassina, Nemo Lighting is a reference brand in the world of lighting design. With deep roots in Italian tradition, Nemo has consistently focused on innovation and the creation of iconic lamps that inspire contemporary design. Over the years, the brand has evolved, blending the legacy of 20th-century masters with modern trends, making it a global leader in quality lighting and design.
One of Nemo Lighting's cornerstones is its prestigious "The Masters" collection, an exclusive selection of lamps designed by some of the greatest names in 20th-century design. Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, Vico Magistretti, Franco Albini, and Kazuhide Takahama are just a few of the masters who have contributed to this collection. These lighting fixtures are not only functional works of art but also iconic pieces that have shaped the history of lighting design.
In addition to honoring past masters, Nemo Lighting is dedicated to creating new contemporary icons in collaboration with renowned international designers. Mario Bellini, Jean Nouvel, Andrea Branzi, Bernhard Osann, and Arihiro Miyake are among the creative visionaries contributing to Nemo’s innovative designs that perfectly merge functionality and aesthetics.
In its pursuit of growth and innovation, in 2020, Nemo acquired the historic Turin-based company ILTI Luce, specializing in architectural lighting solutions for museums, retail, and outdoor spaces. This acquisition enabled Nemo to expand its focus on high-precision architectural lighting, further strengthening its leadership in the field.
Nemo’s expansion continued in 2021 with the acquisition of a majority stake in Reggiani Illuminazione, a company with a longstanding history in architectural lighting, founded in 1957. This strategic alliance allowed Nemo to increase its presence in the high-end retail lighting sector and enhance its capability in large-scale lighting projects.
With headquarters in Milan and branches in France and the United States, Nemo Lighting boasts a strong distribution network spanning over 40 countries. The company remains committed to innovation, quality, and design, positioning itself as a global leader in the development of architectural and decorative lighting solutions for all types of spaces.
Since its inception, Nemo Lighting has been synonymous with creativity and excellence in lighting design. Whether through its iconic lamps from "The Masters" collection or its modern collaborations, the brand continues to define the future of lighting.
